| I started playing ice hockey when I was a little girl.
It started with me, like with many others, whose parents have done
a lot of sports. At first, my father took me with him to his trainings.
Later, I got to skate alone for a some time and when I got the hang
of it, he signed me up for ringet training. (Ringet is like hockey,
but ment for women). Our ringet group got together for a couple of
years, but eventually, the team brokeup. |
After waiting for few years, I heard about womens hockey team, which was formed. I joined it, but after a year year it fell apart as well. Again, I waited for couple of years. When I was 14 I started training with boys in different clubs. I played with boys for six years, when finally in 2003 another womens team was formed. I still play there. Last year, I achieved the title of the best woman ice hockey player in Estonia, when my team won the Estonian championships. |
